Engineering the digital
layer your business
deserves.
Three disciplines, one standard of precision. Whether you need a corporate platform, a bespoke business tool, or a complete digital strategy, every Proxem engagement begins with a thorough architectural assessment.
01
Bespoke Web Engineering
Your digital presence, engineered to the highest specification.
Most organisations reach a point where their website no longer reflects who they are or what they're capable of. Generic templates, slow load times, and unmaintainable code become a liability, both operationally and reputationally.
Proxem builds from a clean architectural brief. Every component is purpose-built, performance-tuned, and designed to serve your organisation for years, not until the next redesign cycle.
Corporate organisations needing a digital home that carries the weight of their reputation. Marketing Directors who've been told "it can't be done" by generic agencies. COOs who need the site to actually work.

Platform Engineering
Custom software for the way your business actually operates.
Off-the-shelf software is built for the average business. Your business is not average. When your operations require a logistics dashboard that integrates with your proprietary data, a client portal with specific compliance requirements, or a SaaS product that needs to scale from fifty users to fifty thousand, the answer isn't a template. It's a platform built to specification.
Proxem engineers custom SaaS products, internal business tools, and operational portals from a robust architectural foundation. We think in systems, not screens.
Operations leaders replacing legacy systems. Founders building their first proprietary SaaS product. Organisations where the data exists but no interface connects it to the people who need it.

03
Digital Strategy & UI/UX
Architecture before construction. Always.
Every failed digital project has the same root cause: building before thinking. Proxem's strategy and UI/UX practice exists to eliminate this. We map your users' journeys, interrogate your business logic, define the information architecture, and design the experience before a single line of code is commissioned.
The deliverables from a Proxem strategy engagement become the foundation for every subsequent decision. If you're building with us, this is where we start. If you're building elsewhere, this gives your development team everything they need to execute without ambiguity.
Leaders who've been burned by a project that seemed clear at the start and expensive to rebuild at the end. CTOs who need a spec before they can scope development. Organisations preparing for a platform or web engineering brief.

How We Work
Rigorous process.
No surprises.
Discovery Briefing
A focused conversation with the decision-makers. We assess your requirements, your constraints, and your definition of success. This is where we earn the right to propose.
Architectural Assessment
We map what needs to be built, how it connects, and where the risks are. You receive a clear technical brief before any agreement is signed.
Staged Delivery
We build in structured phases with defined deliverables at each stage. You see progress. You make decisions. Nothing disappears into a black box.
Handoff & Continuity
Every Proxem project ends with a complete technical handoff: documentation, knowledge transfer, and the option for an ongoing maintenance relationship.
Common Questions
About our services.
What is the difference between web engineering and platform engineering?
Web engineering focuses on your public-facing digital presence: corporate websites, content platforms, and marketing properties built for performance and brand representation. Platform engineering builds the internal tools, SaaS products, and operational systems your business runs on. Many organisations need both, and we often begin with a strategy engagement to determine the right sequence.
How long does a typical Proxem project take?
A web engineering project typically runs 8 to 16 weeks depending on complexity. Platform engineering engagements range from 12 to 24 weeks. A digital strategy engagement runs 4 to 8 weeks and often precedes a build. Every project begins with a discovery briefing and an architectural assessment before timelines are committed.
Do you work with organisations outside Belgium?
Yes. Proxem is based in Antwerp but serves mid-market and enterprise organisations across Europe. Our infrastructure is EU-hosted, our processes are GDPR-compliant by design, and we conduct all work in English and Dutch.
What technologies does Proxem use?
Our standard stack is Next.js with TypeScript on the front end, PostgreSQL or Supabase on the back end, and Vercel for hosting. We use Tailwind CSS for styling, build to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, and implement GDPR-compliant analytics. The specific architecture is always determined by the project requirements, not by preference.

Not sure which service
fits your situation?
That is precisely what a Discovery Briefing is for. One conversation is usually enough to know whether we're the right partner, and which discipline applies.
